Spousal Support

In 2009, the recession hit my company hard and I was no longer able to draw a salary, so I decided to seek legal representation to get a temporary relief judgment from the courts to lower my $4,500 alimony fee to my former wife of 26 years. My first lawyer botched my filing and before I knew it I was facing contempt of court for not being current on my alimony.

My former wife responded to my request of relief by retaining a bulldog lawyer who claimed our original six-year settlement was bogus. They immediately filed a request to re-open our marriage settlement case and slapped me for $15,000 in lawyer fees plus a proposed settlement of $400,000. In addition, he then demanded an increased alimony of $7,500 monthly.

At this point I terminated my first lawyer and hired a second lawyer who did little for me. My ex-wife’s lawyer wanted us to settle for $7,000 per month in alimony and $300,000 in cash plus an increased charge to $50,000 in lawyer fees.

I was perplexed and obviously upset when I contacted Mr. Peter Langley. Peter was able to obtain time from the courts in order to review and prepare my case. We had timely key discussions that led to clear discoveries and facts that shifted the tide to my advantage. He skillfully refuted all of their claims and within six months of being on the case, we won a judgment in our favor that saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Peter and his entire staff gave me professional service from beginning to end. Whenever I spoke with any member of his staff, they were always familiar with my case. They provided me the security and peace of mind by knowing that their whole team was backing me 100%. This newfound confidence allowed me some breathing room and I finally was able to relax knowing my case was in the right hands.

Divorce and a new Living Trust

Pre-Marital Agreement

I recently asked Mr. Langley to review a Pre-Nuptial agreement presented to me by my fiancé's attorney. He provided excellent guidance through the process and made several suggestions on improvements that were adopted into the paperwork.
